Tom Yam's Birthday

Assalamualaikum and hi again!

Today post is about Tom Yam Birthday. Who's Tom Yam in Aida's life? If you are one of my IG followers or your phone number is in my contact list, you will know who is Tom Yam. 

Tom Yam is a cute name for Hanin. Hanin ialah rakan sebilik pertama di CFS PJ, also my first classmate in Semester 1, roommate for 1 year and half, partner in crime and the list goes on. To sum things up, Hanin is part of my college life definition. I do many things with her [ eat, class, outing and even go to laundry except for today hahaha].

We did many pranks for each friend, and now we are running out of ideas. So for her birthday, we agreed to do the simplest thing, which is fraught her with cats [ she hates cat badly]. Dan ternyata dia memang takut, and sangat stress bila kitaorang pasang cat sound on Youtube. Lol! Ah, forget to mention, we covered her eyes, so she kind of wondering what will happen to her.

The things that I would like to highlight here is about college life. Frankly speaking, kehidupan di universiti is not all about love or searching for a partner. My college life is amazing enough with them, the ones who always there to here your stories, silly jokes, gossips and etc. The ones who will make a group Whatapps to do prank for your birthday, the ones who will share their food , the ones who will wait the bus with you, having lunch at the cafe after the class, to many things we did together.

Tbh, I baru ja menangis tadi, and I don't even know why. I asked myself why I chose to be here, miles away from home and parents. Tapi bila difikirkan balik, I really thankful to Allah for sending them to be part of my current life despite my hectic dental journey. I really can't imagine kalau diaorang semua tak ada. Who will cheer me up?

Listening to Asma's podcast taught me some input. [Asma is one of my girl crush, and I listened to her podcast with DOPSTV before I wrote this entry]. Here some of the thoughts:

1. Enjoy the life doesn't mean you have to do all the risky things. Just do something that give your heart sort of contentment. 

2. Don't rush into things. Don't bother if you don't have a partner yet [ I hate the 'boyfriend' word]. Know yourself first, and live the life to the fullest.

3. Proud of yourself. I selalu cakap pada diri I, jangan mudah hilang jati diri. It really sucks when it comes to peer pressure. Living in the university means that you have to face different kinds of environment. Survival untuk tidak ikut trend or to do something negatives sangatlah kuat. Kalau lemah, you will end up to face culture shock. [based on my experience lah!]

At the end of the day, just follow the flow. And please, always rely on Him ;)
